Just Normal procedure.

U.S. attorneys are political appointees, and the request from the Justice Department under President Donald Trump is part of a routine process, although not every new administration replaces all U.S. attorneys at once.

I think you are right about that Amber.
I don't see anything wrong with replacing the old and getting in the new. Some of the old might be partial to the previous president.

On looking at it from a Canadian point of view.

Boy do they ever have a messy system in the United States.

One of the attorneys refused to resign and was fired.
