First impressions
« on: March 25, 2017, 11:56:43 AM »
We judge others instantly by their clothes, their cars, their appearance, their race, their education, their social status.
Experts say we size up new people in somewhere between 30 seconds and two minutes.
Are your first impressions always right?

Online or offline I used to try not to make a snap judgement when I get that gut feeling there was just "something" about a person.

Been burned a few times so now I go with my intuition.

First thing I look at are the person's shoes. Shoes tell you a lot about a person..

Of course being a guy I also look at the boobs.. I seem to trust people and try taking them for what they are..There are times when I am completely wrong about a person..But again I don't make friends easy myself..I tend to like being alone..

Clothes don't make the person, so I try to not judge by what
someone is wearing.  I can usually judge by a person's face, voice,
and manners  as to whether I will be comfortable with them.
I am not very out going, so it takes me awhile to get to know
someone.

I'm out going on forums but on the shy side in real life...although I hate myself for saying so...I probably do judge people on how they are dressed, etc.

But a lot has to do with self protection...I'm alone and if you look like a crazy homeless drug addict...I'm not inviting you in my house.

If anyone here saw my hubby you would swear he was down and out.

He has good clothes....he just prefers to wear his oldest duds....I think to embarrass me. I walk ahead of him sometimes pretending we are not together  :lmaf:

Elastic waistband baggy jogging pants that make him look as if he has a load and tee shirts that make rags look good. And we won't even talk about his coat.

He calls it comfortable....I call it love for putting up with him

Pauls doesn't look down and out, I feel the same way, these old clothes are comfy, I don't really care about what people think of me if I wear an old torn jacket.. I have an old blue winter jacket, the zipper is broke and cost more to replace the zipper than it's worth, but the snaps still work and the jacket is nice and comfy and warm..The pockets are shot and the sleeve has a tear..but it's only 35 years old, still lots of good wear left in it..

My husband was like that, lol.

Embarrassing as he could be, I'd give anything to have him alive. :(
