I don't have a Facebook account, I might have saved myself a pile of money.

If you can't say it to their FACE....then don't say it on Facebook.

Trouble is that after someone blocks someone on Facebook then the blockee never sees what the blocker says, but of course there is always a mutual friend? who might be quick to fill you in. This is probably what happened resulting in the lawsuit.

And that's my reason not to do facebook.

I don't understand the lure of wanting the entire world to have access to what I'm doing or where I'm living.  In my over 70 yrs of living, there's a lot of people I don't want to see, hear from, or have anything to do with.

I have never been on Facebook and I don't plan to be.
I like to have as much privacy as possible and I don't understand why
some folks like to post the every day personal events of their life.

My FB account is very private. I only use it to talk to long distance family and friends and very little else. I don't like twitter and don't use it although I was a beta tester before it went public. I didn't like it then and stopped using it.

Besides, they install cookies on your device that track you across multiple websites who are partnered with them. Have you ever noticed that sometimes you see the same ads for things you've looked at when you visit different sites? ;)

I don't say much on Facebook unless it's something positive. I don't get too personal there either. I don't need all those people knowing my business.

I'm on facebook and quite enjoy keeping in touch and knowing what my F.B. friends are up to.  I have the settings set very private and not a problem.  I also enjoy all the recipes links that come up.  I've secured a few good recipes from pintrest and other sites.
