Would you support your child
« on: May 19, 2017, 11:45:35 AM »
A man who was given nearly C$2.9 million by his father after he won C$178 million in the Euromillions has had his claim for more cash thrown out by a judge.

Michael Dawes, 32, took his father, Dave, and stepmother Angie to court after they stopped giving him more money. He claimed the couple had promised to ensure he and his partner, James Beedle, 34, would never have to worry about money again

You won a major lottery would you?

My question to you would be, would you support one or more of your family members..even say they quit their job and expect you to give them money each month, say for life.. Would you do this for them..or like in the article, stop this and make them support themselves.

I guess I would help them out some. But I sure won't support them for their life

I would certainly help out family but there would be a limit if they wasted money
like Michael Dawes.
His Dad gave him a huge amount of money and he and his partner went through
it quickly and expected more and more.
A very bad way to treat his father and stepmom.  Time for him to go back to work
and look after himself.
